How does your business
show up on Google?

Enter the business name and town. I pull the public Google listing, load the website the way a search engine does, and measure its speed on a phone. You get a score, the checks, and the three things I would fix first.

  • Google Business ProfileWhether the listing exists, is marked open, has hours, a phone number, a website, a category, photos and reviews.
  • Website basicsWhether the site loads over HTTPS, has a title and description, is set up for phones, carries structured data, and matches the listing's phone and address.
  • Mobile speedGoogle PageSpeed performance and search-basics scores for the home page on a phone.

Why these checks

The listing is the storefront. The website is the proof.

When someone in North Georgia searches "plumber near me" or "lunch in Helen", Google shows the map and three listings before any website. Whether yours is one of them comes down to the listing being complete, reviewed and accurate, and the website behind it being fast, secure and consistent with it.

AI assistants read the same signals. Structured data, a clear description and matching details across the site and the listing are how ChatGPT or Google's AI answers "who does X in Gainesville" with your name.

What happens with the results
  • The check uses the public Google listing and the public website. It never touches your Google account.
  • Google listing data is fetched live for each check and is not saved on our server.
  • If you request a follow-up, your contact details and Google place ID are saved and sent to me so I can review your business with fresh information.
  • Fixing the listing is free and I will tell you how. The website work is what I do; see what that looks like for your kind of business.

Presence check terms

This free check offers informational suggestions, not a guarantee of search rankings or business results. Verify listing details before acting. Use of the Google Maps features is subject to the Google Maps / Google Earth Additional Terms of Service.

Presence check privacy

Business searches and selected place IDs are sent to Google; website URLs are sent to Google PageSpeed for measurement. Google handles that information under its Privacy Policy. We do not save Google listing content. If you request a follow-up, we store your submitted name, email, optional phone, page source and place ID and email them to our business owner to respond. Our hosting and email providers process this information. Request deletion or ask a privacy question at our contact page.

FAQ

About the check.

Where does the information come from?

The Google listing details come from the public Places API, the same data anyone sees on Google Maps. The website checks load your home page the way a search engine would. Speed comes from Google PageSpeed Insights.

Why did it find the wrong business, or none at all?

Google search is fuzzy, so the tool shows the closest matches and asks you to pick. If nothing matches, try the exact name on the listing and add the town. If the business has no Google listing at all, that is the first thing to fix, and it is free.

Is this a full SEO audit?

No. It is the dozen things that decide most local search outcomes, checked in thirty seconds. A full review of the site, competitors and tracking is part of the first meeting.

What do you do with what I enter?

Google listing data is fetched live and not saved on our server. If you request a follow-up, we save your submitted contact details, page source and Google place ID so I can review the business and reply. See the presence check privacy notice for details.
